Personal Pandemic Pity Party
Wow. I was just going into a major pity party. Everything I enjoy has been cancelled due to COVID-19. I can't go to the Alamo Area Master Naturalists Class 45 training classes. I can't volunteer at Headwaters at Incarnate Word. The golden cheeked warbler survey and cowbird trapping project are cancelled at Government Canyon State Natural Area. I can't go to Mad Pecker for my weekly flight and pretzel. I can't go to Halftime for my weekly Bourbon Bacon Slice. I can't go to my Carson Elementary retiree lunches and see my peeps. Three of my camping trips were already cancelled.
Then, I realized that I can still enjoy the nature around me and sing God's praises. He hasn't forgotten us. He is right there with us waiting for us to let Him carry these burdens for us. Trust in Him. He is going to get us through this.
